Sable took a lease on a fourth-floor room in Berlin for one reason: nine metres of north-facing glass that holds soft light from ten to four.
Everything else — the cyc wall, the kitchen, the freight lift — was added around that light.

The catalogue shot in one afternoon
A footwear brand lost their studio 48 hours before a 60-product catalogue shoot. They called at 7pm on a Tuesday.
We pre-lit overnight, ran two stations against the daylight and delivered all 60 by Friday. They have shot every season here since.
Good shoots are planned on the phone
Daylight is a schedule, not a switch. Which hours you get decides your shot list, your crew and your budget.
Twenty minutes with our producer usually saves a full day on set.
